Dr. Gabriel is a board certified, fellowship trained interventional pain physician. He completed his bachelor of science at the University of Chicago, where he was given numerous awards and graduated with general and special honors. He then attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After which, Dr. Gabriel completed his medicine internship at Loyola University Medical Center, and then his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan. There, he also completed his fellowship in interventional pain medicine with the department of anesthesiology.
As a physiatrist and interventional pain physician, Dr. Gabriel’s goal is to alleviate pain and restore function for patients and has had extensive experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders, as well as a wide array of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. He has been awarded for his patient care from national honor societies, presented numerous times at national meetings, and has published in a peer-reviewed pain medicine journal. Dr. Gabriel’s interests are broad, including intervertebral disc herniation, lumbar and cervical spine disorders, post-laminectomy syndrome, and spinal cord stimulator neuromodulation.
