Your sleeping position as it relates to your back pain

Last updated 5 years ago

If you suffer from back pain, you know that pain is often at its worst first thing in the morning. Why does sleeping cause so much strain on your back?

It may be because of the position you’re sleeping in. In this video, you’ll learn some tips that may help improve your back pain. If you’re a side sleeper, tuck a pillow between your legs to keep your lumbar spine straight and your pelvis from twisting. Back sleepers should try putting a pillow underneath their knees to take the strain out of their lower back.

If these tips aren’t enough to improve your back pain, you should contact a back specialist, like those at SpineOne. We can help you find treatments that will ease your back and neck pain. Call us at (303) 367-2225 to schedule an appointment.
